Inclusion services
Community Inclusion
Are you in south King County, Pierce County or Thurston County? Our Centerforce team can help!
We offer Community Inclusion services, which are individualized services provided in typical integrated community settings for individuals that meet eligibility requirements.
Services:
promote the person’s competence, integration, physical or mental abilities.
assist individuals to participate in activities, events and organizations in the community in ways similar to others of similar age.
may be available for working-age individuals.
are designed to provide support that allows individuals to explore and participate in a wide variety of community activities such as leisure, recreation, volunteer and educational interests.
By becoming involved in the community, people with and without disabilities can learn about themselves and others, provide support and friendship, and build a network of community contacts while enjoying social events and learning about the world around them.
Meet our clients
Alfrida
Alfrida has been a Centerforce Community Inclusion client for more than five years, and her favorite activity might just be at Parks Tacoma Eastside Community Center for its Wednesday bingo sessions and to meet up with her friend Connie.
Jean
Jean has been a Centerforce client for many years. She loves to knit with the Lakewood Knits group — a community activity she enjoys being included in. The knitting group shares it supplies with her and she created this Seahawks-inspired hat. The spirit of friendship and creativity lives on in every stitch!
Eric
Our client Eric volunteers at Zion’s River in Tacoma as a Sunday greeter.
Zion’s River said, “He always has a smile on his face, and is one of the reasons new people feel so welcomed and our church is such a wonderful place to be. We cannot say “Thank you!” enough to all of our volunteers! Thank you, Eric!”
Eric also loves to go on outings, including the Washington State Fair, with his friends from church.
